2008 PA Stone Skipping Tournament Saturday August 23, 2008 11:00AM - 4:00PM River Front Park, Franklin, PA The 2008 PA Stone Skipping Tournament is just around the corner! The competition is sure to be heated with many of the returning professional competitors looking to knock off the newly crowned world record holder, Russ Byars. Many of the competitors have already started their preparations for the upcoming event. You can bet former world record holder Kurt Steiner will come ready to bring his “A” game as well as the younger up and coming players. So stop by the event and enjoy the festivities of the Rock in River festival, and feel free to sign up for the tournament and try to show up some of the best stone skippers in the world!
Come check out Russ Byars stone skipping clinic for youth and amateur competitors at the festival. The clinic starts at 10:00 AM sharp and will last about an hour. The tournaments start at 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM. There will be a rock painting contest, and Gerplunking contest for the kids and a youth and amateur stone skipping tournament.
